Learning about your camera and it’s settings is important, so you can be confident in achieving the results you want. The good news is that it’s not actually too difficult.
Usually a complete beginner can gain the basic knowledge needed in one session.

This workshop is for beginners to advanced photographers who who wish to gain a better understanding of their camera.
On the day – around 6 hours – we will cover:
Introduction to Digital Capture
Getting to know your Camera (How light is captured & transformed into images)
Camera Resolution (Megapixels) and Print Size
File Formats – Jpg or Raw and why it is important
Lenses (Focal Lengths, Macro, Prime & Zoom Lenses)
Manual and Autofocus (Focusing Points, Autofocus – Single or Continuous Focus)
Manual Exposure (ISO, Shutter Speeds, F/Stops and The Light Meter)
Metering Modes (Evaluative, Matrix, Spot Metering)
Depth of Field (Shallow, Deep, Hyper Focal Distance)
Motion (Freezing, Blurring & Panning)
Picture Styles / Picture Control (Colour, Black and White, Sepia etc.)

If you are wishing to learn how to use your camera and have little or no prior knowledge then this session would be a great start. Some people may well want a longer session or come back for further sessions. If you are unsure at all, please do give me a call to discuss.
