All our couples, all friends and pretty much everyone we meet is asking why don’t we share our knowledge and expertise with wedding related stuff. So few weeks later (actually few years LOL), we decided to start our very podcast. It won’t be anything ‘rocket science’, but you can be sure and count on us, that we will give you our honest and true feedback. As usual we will not go straight to the point, but will talk and talk and enjoy.

We knew that first few episodes will be a bit awkward. And they are indeed. LOL. It is very strange to hear yourselves like on radio. But we are sure more we gonna do it, better it will be. And the subject is large. Especially, that we want to keep it not only around weddings, but more around photography and happiness. Yes, just about that. Amazing Wedding Story of Britta and Assad at the best West London Wedding Venue Pembroke Lodge, located in the heart of the Richmond Park.
How to start? I don't really know. So much happened there and day was so short. Well, let's start from the beginning.
Day started in two different locations. While Britta was getting ready at her dad's house at Wimbledon, Assad was getting ready with his boys at their apartment in Canary Wharf. At both locations you could feel cultural influence - Britta's Estonian roots and Assad's Mauritian kind of exotic feel. Boys were relaxed, while girls were rushing as usual, lol.
Once they have been almost ready, Assad arrived to Britta's dad house for traditional Estonian pre-wedding games. That was so much fun. They needed to plant their first ever tree and after that change nappy to their brand new baby (of course that was a large size doll, but so realistic). They did well and guess who had the most fun? Britta's dad of course.
Where is Pembroke Lodge in London located?
The wedding venue: Pembroke Lodge is West London wedding venue. Out of all wedding venues located in this part of London, Pembroke Lodge has few unique features: it is located in Richmond Park, one of the most iconic London's parks, what gives lots of wedding photography opportunities as well as adds great vibe to the wedding itself.
The Wedding dress: We were absolutely stunned, how amazing Britta looked. Just have a look at this gorgeous wedding dress from Lusan Mandongus. Or check those jealous looks of other females who attend their wedding. Absolutely priceless.
Wedding traditions can be so different and so surprising. While we had bride originally from Estonia and groom from Mauritius, we could expect for everything to happen. So, very first thing Estonian part of guests showed their presence at the wedding reception by shouting "kibe!" (bitter) from time to time. Every time they did it, bride and groom has to kiss big time. Of course Mauritian part picked up instantly showing big love to bride. From exotic side we had wild music "sega", with such a cool dancing. All (including us) came together and dance until midnight.

We will come back to the venue itself with a bit of explanation what happened where. So, the grandest room called The Belvedere hosted civil ceremony and wedding breakfast. This room is so flexible, can be turn into larger or smaller depends on the requirements. After wedding ceremony all moved into The Soane Room for cocktails. This room has got access to the outside grounds, so perfect for guests mingling. While we were there, The Belvedere was setup for wedding breakfast. It was done quick and efficient and all could go there straight after cocktail hour.
Why family photos are important at your Wedding Day?
Grand entrance of newly weds, wedding breakfast and speeches went absolutely brilliant. We love that part of the wedding. Speeches always are creative and fun. Straight after that, all went outside for coffees, photo booth and group family pictures, which we always recommend to take. This is the part which most of the newly weds would like to skip, but after years that is the best thing they have from the wedding day - family photographs. Please, do not forget to do that at your wedding.
There is a story in every story
Last part of the wedding - first dance, father and bride dance, wedding games and of course crazy dance floor moves, which we all love.
WE NEVER GO HOME AFTER THE FIRST DANCE - THERE IS SO MUCH ACTION. The dance floor was full thanks to live band - The Danceroom Fillers. Cool boys.
What if it rains on my Wedding Day? Do you do wedding photos in the rain?
Last thing we would like to mention is the weather. We do love British weddings. We do love British weather as well. It can be great forecast, it can be great morning, fantastic during wedding ceremony and once you want to go out to have amazing pictures taken can rain a lot. That was the case on this particular day. Well, what you can do? Just enjoy. You can't plan it, you can't change it. You can take it as it is and enjoy or … Well, Britta and Assad did what they could best - they took the most out of their best day in their life. Check our Pembroke Lodge wedding photography below.

This cool couple getting married in the next two weeks at Pembroke Lodge located in the heart of Richmond Park. As every couple (or pretty much most of them), Britta and Assad were stressed before their big day to come. They had an idea to take some portrait pre wedding engagement images due to the fact during wedding day they wanted to keep couple shoot and group family shots to the minimum.
Our by far most favorite time to take pictures is golden hour. This is the time around one hour after sunrise and around one hour before the sunset. During that time human skin looks most flattering and the colours at the sky are (in most of the cases) simply amazing. At this particular evening we were very lucky with the weather. Dry evening with cloudy sky was almost perfect to have shoot done. Just a bit of the sun was missing. But it was not gonna to stop us from having fun.
No matter what you do, what time of the year you choose Richmond Park engagement shoot tick all the boxes. Who doesn't like this amazing park with such a variety of areas to have as a backdrop.
Britta and Assad really wanted to have some pictures while the most famous Richmond Park's deers are somewhere in the backdrop. We managed to find one. I guess it is much easier to find them in the morning than late in the evening.

Lillibrooke Manor is a Berkshire barn wedding venue located just outside Maidenhead in Berkshire – an award winning grade II listed venue in the Thames Valley. The venue offers Small Barn and Cloister Garden ideal for wedding ceremony, thru Cottage Room ideal to be used as a bridal suite, to Great Barn providing a fairy tale setting for your special day. Lillibrooke Manor rustic barn wedding venue ticks all the boxes.
Our shoot was inspired by loved by us British barn wedding style, which is fresh, natural, relaxed and joyful. Our models, a beautiful real young couple from Australia. They perfectly matched the idea of countryside barn styled shoot. Maddison with her long blonde hair looked absolutely stunning. She was wearing wedding dress supplied by W-wedding London. Model of this wedding dress: Camellia collection 038. She was our main focus during the shoot as the bride is always in the centre of the attention.
The whole look was accomplished by beautiful hair accessories provided by Flox Bridal. It was delicate and looked amazing on Maddison hair. We were going for natural and fresh look, which was amazingly achieved by mua Mako Smith. She managed to show Maddison’s best attributes, which were eyes and beautiful smile. Hair done as well by Mako slightly waved and left loose to fly with the wind. Connor was styled as a very relaxed groom – comfortable and easygoing.
Have a look at the images at the very beginning – all were taken at the Cottage Room, which has absolutely perfect light from our point of view. It can ideally host bridal party at brides getting ready. Imagine yourself with your girls with glasses of champagne or cold prosecco. Amazing!
Having wedding styled shoot in the barn, we had to match the table and bouquet style. The idea came from Katrien at South Event Specialists and was styled by Vikki at Plan Style Hire. Vikki managed to create fresh looking bouquet, full of green and rich variety of flowers at the table runner in the Cloister Garden. Cloister Garden is licensed for outdoor civil ceremony and perfect for your cocktail hour. It is a great place to have family group shots taken after wedding ceremony. In case of bad weather next to the Garden there is a Small Barn as a back up venue.
The idea was to keep all deco modern and simple. Beautifully created stationary by Made by Rae Designs. Simplicity with table stationary finished the look we all wanted to achieve.
Having Lillibrooke Manor wedding venue for exclusive use, we were able to show our ideas in different environment. The best example is amazing wedding cake made by Sugar Lilly Cakery, which beautifully blended in with stylish brick walls. The green of the cake matched table and bouquet style. Doesn’t it look yummy?!
Can’t forget of the biggest advantage which Lillibrooke Manor has, which is amazing and completely private outdoor space with gorgeous Manor House Garden. The space is brilliant for any wedding lawn games, standing drinks reception or couple shoot.
Design, concept and co-ordination of the shoot – all done by Katrien. She amazingly managed to put all the details together. She was the most helpful with giving directions to every supplier who took part in this styled shoot. Katrien – massive THANK YOU from us for making it happen.
The last but not least was our cinematographer Robert at RK Cinematography. Robert followed us during the whole day, managed to document every single part of the shoot. By doing so, he was invisible like a ninja. We love that kind of style. His look at the wedding videography is very fresh, touchy and modern. You have to check out his work here. All the facilities and outdoor space of Lillibrooke Manor compliment the largest and most spectacular Great Barn in south England. It is licensed for civil ceremony and can host 220 guests, 170 seated, with very large space for dance floor and a amazing bar area.
On busy wedding day we all sometimes forgot what is really the most important. Karla and Lee - South America and England. You might think opposite poles like North and South. But in that case they are not opposite. They pull to each other like a massive magnets.
Tower Bridge in London. By far our most favourite London's landmark. We love to come back there and we are always looking for any excuse to do so. Same was on that morning. Arrived at the cafe next to the bridge way earlier that agreed with the couple to enjoy the coffee with the view.
Waiting for a couple with a favorite coffee cup is a pleasure. But to be surprised by a couple and their outfit is even better. To be precise, I am talking about Karla's Vans. How cool is that! To find out our couple care about little details to show their real side is more that gold for us. And just take a look at her dress. Well, try to beat it. Or maybe not. Lately we are getting couples, who's character and overall individualism is visible more and more. And we love it to be honest.
Busy streets of London in the morning is the thing we like at our shoots. Everybody is rushing to work, but we are only with those two. Those two who only cares about themselves. And their LOVE...

Who doesn't know Notting Hill hands up? Of course, that is the one of the most desired spots in London. I can’t believe we haven’t shoot there before. So, here we are. Notting Hill is known for being a cosmopolitan and multicultural neighborhood, hosting the annual Notting Hill Carnival and Portobello Road Market.
Denia and Rob, still not as famous as Notting Hill, however really getting there. Probably you are curious whatI am talking about. To call them celebrities, it is a bit to far too, lol, but they were definitely up to a brilliant idea and launched Instagram profile called @KissYouHere. So this magical couple travel around the world and post the pictures kissing each other in beautiful places. How cool is that!!! Denia is originally from Greece and Rob is English. Absolute mixture of energy, smile, great sense of humor and what is the most important LOVE!! How easy was to photograph them but was tricky to stop them kissing all the time. Kidding of course.
Denia chosen the place as she is flower lover. Now in Notting Hill you can experience full blossom. How great was to see Denia's outfit matching the atmosphere! This girl is absolutely package!! Full of joy and ideas! Thanks god, Rob is a little bit more down the earth, lol. They are perfect match. Couple of hours was enough to love them to the bits. We had a great time walking through Portobello Market and stopping at cool spots. I think we all agree that the best shot we took was near Electric Cinema. The kisses over there were proper electric!

Pembroke Lodge is a beautiful Georgian Mansion, which has eleven acres of well maintained landscape grounds. The rooms are bright and spacious overlooking west. What is so important for me, this venue is located inside Richmond Park, which is perfect backdrop for any type of photography. Of course its great for me from photographer's point of view.
